To get a UAE investor visa, you first establish a company in the UAE (mainland or free zone) and obtain your trade licence, then apply for the investor visa through your company. The process involves submitting your passport, photos, and licence documents; completing a medical fitness test; obtaining an Emirates ID; and receiving your residence visa stamp.

The visa is tied to your company, so the first step is actually setting up the business and getting your trade licence. Once that's done, you apply for the investor visa through your own company.
From there it's a clear sequence: you submit your passport, photos, and licence documents; you complete a quick medical fitness test; you do your Emirates ID biometrics; and then you receive your residence visa stamp. Start to finish, it usually takes about five to ten working days after your licence is issued.
